From Saturday 8 to Sunday 9 of November, 14 freedivers from Argentina, Chile and Colombia competed together to get a place in the podium. This championship was held in the City of Puerto Madryn (Chubut), Argentina. The athletes were mainly Argentinians with only one athlete for Chile ( Hector Arias) and Colombia (Francisco Chavez).On Saturday morning the Chilean did the best static male performance with 5'25", and the Argentinian Belen Gallego was the best female with a time of 5'01".
On Saturday afternoon was the DNF competition. This time Walter Svajelj did best with 88 meters and Paula Giudici was the best female with a distance of 66 meters. The Colombian competitor did 110 meters but lost 18 points for surfacing 3 times.
On Sunday was the DYF competition and the best male was Leandro Morales with 114 meters, and the best female was Belen Gallego with 77 meters. The longest distance, again, was for the Colombian competitor with 134 meters, but again, the penalties for surfacing 2 times make him lost valuable points. Look below for complete results:
